Certified “Natural” Personal Care
The Natural Products Association’s (NPA) standard for “natural” personal care products provides a clear definition of what can and cannot be considered natural in regards to ingredients and manufacturing practices. It is the only “natural” seal for personal care products created for the U.S. consumer and U.S. marketplace. This standard closely mirrors that of the German-based BDIH (by whom Weleda is also certified.)
Introduced in May 2008 by the Natural Products Association, the oldest and largest non-profit organization dedicated to the natural products industry in the U.S., it is designed to help customers easily identify truly natural personal care products.
Weleda: Naturally pioneering natural
Weleda is a member of the NPA’s steering committee and is actively involved in the standard. As packaging is updated, all Weleda products will display the NPA seal. This process will begin in May 2008. In the meantime, you can find the BDIH (Certified Natural Cosmetics) seal on Weleda’s personal care products.
